Let me be the first to welcome you to Alpha Delta Pi at the University of California, Berkeley. ADPi is one of the strongest and most respected chapters in the Greek System here at Cal, and I could not be more proud to represent our chapter. Our women are well-rounded, diverse and scholastic, but there is so much more that I hope you'll have the chance to see.
I can bet that growing up, you were asked more than once what you wanted to do when you were an adult. I can also bet that your answer has changed- and probably more than once- since you were first asked. I know mine has changed a million times; first archaeologist, then FBI agent, then actress, and the list continues. I cannot claim that joining ADPi will magically answer these questions and the many more that we face as young women, but I can promise that ADPi will set you on your way. We foster a culture of respect, hard work, and kindness in our chapter that will lead to success in whatever path our members choose to take upon their graduation.
I am proud to say that ADPi has achieved the highest Panhellenic and IFC GPA in 2011, 2012, and 2013. I am even prouder to say that our commitment to academics is equaled by our involvement on campus and in the community. Dancers, singers, actors, Division 1 Athletes, travelers, bilinguals, Regent Scholars, philanthropists, future doctors and teachers. I'm confident when I say that there is nothing we do not do.
This year is our 101st year as a member of the CalGreek system. We hope that you can join us to celebrate in our history and tradition as well as look forward to our next 101 years.
